The chronicles of TAMAR

Year 135

All hail noble ladies and gentlemen!

How fast time goes by. No sooner I wrote about the continued war against Siegfried in the chronicle than there was finally hope again for long-lasting peace. This time the negotiations are leaded with the help of an independent mediator. The noble Lancelot took this task and we all hope that his efforts will be crowned with success.
While we have finally a ceasefire which was proclaimed during the negotiations and all involved stick to it, it looks different on other places. I was told that now and then there are fights Eternia, because some lords thought that they could increase their land at somebody else's expense.
However the argument between Lord Heinrich and Baron Brightblade (I told about it last time) just seems to be a misunderstanding. At least I was told only about some few fights there, while it seems quiet in the last past years. In this peaceful time, if you don't count some the few fights with the pert orcs, Alberich has to handle with totally different problems. As our realm is able to offer a more quantity of good for the export now, Alberich placed some offers in the public trade to replenish the accounts of our realm. But the marketing opportunities for weapons and armors dropped in the past, because there have been almost no fights on Eternia and so there was not such a big need of these goods. So Alberich cut the prices partly so much that they were under the prices of Sergus who reacted very angry. Sergus is the manciple of Lord Wolfen who had died some time ago and established his reputation as a serious and above all a neutral trader in the last years. Also Alberich already brought from him. All the more he was surprised at the upset about the prices. Sergus even blamed Alberich for breach of promise, because he was reputed to give him non-committal promise not to undercut his prices. In what way it is the truth I can't judge as a writer, because I'm not allowed to join every conversation between the lords. However Alberich thinks he is justified and wants to control the prices as he likes. Personally I think that there is enough gold on Eternia for several traders, but nobody is asking me about it.
